I still can’t believe nobody’s screaming about these sneakers on every corner. Let me briefly explain to you why I personally started looking at this particular pair of shoes.

With every super model, it girl, that girl and influencer wearing Adidas Samba this Fall I’ll have to admit I got influenced too and started hunting down the coveted pair of Sambas. On the surface it feels like such a great idea: for $100-$150 you’re getting a clean looking pair of sneakers that should last you a while but how much will you actually pay for them? Don’t get me wrong, I am not against Sambas, not at all. I own a pair as well because I got lucky and Adidas had my size in stock at the time but some colors and sizes are really hard to find. Just like with Taylor Swift concert tickets: there’s always people who’ll get there first and grab a couple extra just in case. If you want to get your Sambas in White, Burgundy or any one of the coveted colors from their limited drops in reality you’ll be paying anywhere between $250 - $1500 for a regular pair of sneakers that just happen to be very popular this year.

If you absolutely must and can’t help it: last time I checked you could get a pair of white sambas here on Farfetch (make sure to use the official Adidas size guide as all sizes are marked as US men’s sizes) and don’t forget to create an account - new members enjoy $50 off their first purchase! BUT, you’re still paying quite a bit over the MSRP and you end up with a pair of sneakers that everyone has.

My point here is: if you’re planning to overpay for a pair of Sambas why not get a pair of sneakers that are actually worth it? As an added bonus the shoes I’ll be talking about, unlike Sambas, are made in Italy. The leathers (a mix of smooth cowhide and supple suede) are softer and more durable. The sole will last a lot longer and to me, personally, looks more organic in this natural rubber color. They’re a little more cushy than the Sambas without losing that low key look. See for yourself.

These shoes are really well made, comfy straight out of the box and have a really aesthetically pleasing clean design that makes them very easy to style all year round. I tried them on with and sans socks and they were very soft, easy to pull on and off and for the lack of a better word pleasant to wear.

Get your p448 in white here (p448 are calling this color “tulum”).

Last time I checked these shoes were still available at here.

If you’re not quite sure about the p448take a look at these shoes by Ecco - they’re incredibly comfortable, durable and a lot more affordable than P448.

Here’re some more options for you. Curated for the fans of white sneakers with clean minimalistic design.
