Early Spring 2024 Outfit Inspo
It’s always too ambitious to predict what kind of weather we’ll be having in March here in the PNW. I can always say one thing for sure: it will be gloomy on the Western side of the Cascades. I am very weather dependable and I need as much sunshine as I can get so when there’s none I have to make my own if I can: wearing warm tones, cozy layers and comfort food.
L’avventura di Sezane: Spring 2024 New Collection
Sézane’s newest drop makes me want to dive into Summer head first. Obsessed with their swimwear, beachwear, dresses and bags!
The Last Week of January 2024
The Sun slowly peeked out from under the cover of thick clouds where it’s spent the last couple of weeks and then slowly rolled behind the mountain all in about 5 minutes.
My Favorite Shoes from 2023: Winter Edition
I have to admit when it comes to shoe shopping things get out of control. I made a lot of rush decisions over the past year but some of these shoes I’m so glad I’ve got I’d happily buy another pair and then 2 more in every color. Here’s my favorite pairs that are coming with me to 2024 from 2023.
My Favorite Skincare & Makeup Products of 2023
I love going through my medical cabinet supplies at the beginning of the year (it’s also fair to add that it’s more of a medical closet than a cabinet) with 2 goals: I get rid of all the testers, half used and half forgotten creams and lotions and make sure I am well stocked on my favorites. Beauty brands are well known for discontinuing great products just to reissue them half a year later at a higher price and these are the products I want to make sure I have no matter what for the foreseeable future :)
Winter Sale: Designer finds under $1k
Black Friday sale was a long time ago and let’s be fair - designer pieces almost never go on sale on Black Friday. Right after Christmas you can find amazing deals on highly coveted designer pieces. The only downside is that there’re too many options and the wishlist is so long!
Winter Sale: Designer finds under $500
It happens every year right after Christmas or NY and this year some retailers went all the way and are offering discounts on new collection as well for a limited time only.
A Winter Wardrobe Staple: Fair Isle Sweater
This Winter season I’ve been noticing 2 major trends when it comes to knitwear: go bold (in terms of colors) or go extremely neutral. I have 2 sweaters with nordic patterns, one of them in red, camel and grey color way and the other one in every shade of beige and brown you can imagine. They are both very easy to style and so pleasant to wear as soon as the temps go down. I love that they are equally festive and basic and if I’m being honest I’m always on the lookout for another sweater like that.
The Red Trend
The red trend has been around for more than a year now, however it has mostly been popping in on the runways, high end stores and amongst fashionistas. It looks like it isn’t going anywhere in 2024 and it is only going to get stronger. If you need proof - you will notice that a lot of items in a variety of shades of red were sold out even before Black Friday and the closer we are to the Holidays the smaller are the chances to find something in this trendy color that will tick all the boxes. Looks like designers are trying to catch up as fast as they can so we’re starting to see a lot of new arrivals in red.

A Pop of Burgundy
I spent all day running around Seattle: doing my Christmas shopping, making returns, then working at the studio and even did a quick lap around the building to walk my dogs: all in these shoes. Would the sneakers be a more of a practical choice? Absolutely. But I just felt like I needed a pop of burgundy red in my life. I don’t know if the trend got to me or maybe in Winter we all need a bit of color.
I started my new social media page @marynaholovanova quite recently and it is dedicated to fashion photography, styling, lifestyle, product photography and so much more!
