The red trend has been around for more than a year now, however it has mostly been popping in on the runways, high end stores and amongst fashionistas. It looks like it isn’t going anywhere in 2024 and it is only going to get stronger. If you need proof - you will notice that a lot of items in a variety of shades of red were sold out even before Black Friday and the closer we are to the Holidays the smaller are the chances to find something in this trendy color that will tick all the boxes. Looks like designers are trying to catch up as fast as they can so we’re starting to see a lot of new arrivals in red.

I am a huge fan of neutrals and elevated basics so for me buying something that doesn’t fall into the category of black, beige, brown, white or camel is always a huge commitment.

If you’re at all like me the best and the easiest way to navigate through this trend is to stay true to yourself and when tempted get something that won’t create an imbalance in your wardrobe: if you’re shooting for a bright or fiery red - go with the pieces that you’ll be going through fast enough, like a t-shirt. I found this amazing Sezane sweatshirt that almost jumped into my cart. Can you blame me? I know it’s going to be easy to style, to wash and it will become a great homewear item once or if I get tired of it. My point here is: if you mostly enjoy wearing neutrals and you’re thinking about getting something in a red or burgundy color think about what you’re going to do with it in half a year or even a couple of years later. If you’re still not sure, definitely try getting a marsala red lipstick or holiday red nails first and see if you’re still into it.

I put together a few amazing finds ranging from bright brick red to deep marsala - that should quench your thirst for all things red for a short while. Take a look for yourself.
