I spent all day running around Seattle: doing my Christmas shopping, making returns, then working at the studio and even did a quick lap around the building to walk my dogs: all in these shoes. Would the sneakers be a more of a practical choice? Absolutely. But I just felt like I needed a pop of burgundy red in my life. I don’t know if the trend got to me or maybe in Winter we all need a bit of color.

I should also mention that I’ve been a huge fan of Chloe Kurtys boots but I never got a chance to get them in time (probably because they never went on sale and the price was very hefty), now they are sold out I was a little desperate and then I found THESE. They are almost a 100% dupe with the contrast rubber sole, bold stitching and beautiful leather. For $285 USD I think these boots are a great find.

Sezane is calling this color “smooth chocolate” but imho it has quite a lot of red in it so don’t get confused. They probably don’t want to sell out and keep most of them to themselves, this is the only reasonable explanation for that color description :-)

I also posted a video review about these boots here. Let me know what you think about these!

There’re quite a few other beautiful options out there ranging from deep irish coffee to true wine red but these Chloe boots actually ARE on sale right now (at least at the time of posting this article) and so are these Sorels. Happy shopping!
