The easiest way to make a power statement with your outfit on a day-to-day basis is with a beautifully cut blazer. All those pieces that the Mafia bosses used to wear in the 20s? Double breasted, oversized tailoring, big shoulder pads or none at all. Androgyne and ultra masculine looks with oversized shoulders have basically invaded the runways and the street fashion follows. If you love them you should try them on.
Wearing this relaxed blazer with oversized shoulder pads by Banana Republic.
Love the versatility of a nice tweed blazer. It looks great on its own paired with shorts at the beginning of Fall or later in the season with matching trousers for a sophisticated look. One of my top layering pieces.
Wearing this blazer from the Uniqlo & Ines de la Fressange collaboration. A fabulous find: high quality, very affordable price and great attention to detail. Very similar pieces in both look and quality here, here & here.
Styled with a simple pair of sneakers, black shorts, an old top from Mango (similar looking here & here), Celine box bag (these DeMellier bag and A.P.C. bag are great lookalikes!) and this diamond necklace.
My selection of suit jackets and blazers for this Fall - Winter:
Wearing a sweater blazer from Gap. Similar here, here & here.
Special mention: this blazer by Ann Taylor and this gorgeous wool/cashmere blazer.
