Black Friday sale was a long time ago and let’s be fair - designer pieces almost never go on sale on Black Friday. Right after Christmas you can find amazing deals on highly coveted designer pieces. The only downside is that there’re too many options and the wishlist is so long!

It happens every year right after Christmas or NY and this year some retailers went all the way and are offering discounts on new collection as well for a limited time only.

This Winter season I’ve been noticing 2 major trends when it comes to knitwear: go bold (in terms of colors) or go extremely neutral. I have 2 sweaters with nordic patterns, one of them in red, camel and grey color way and the other one in every shade of beige and brown you can imagine. They are both very easy to style and so pleasant to wear as soon as the temps go down. I love that they are equally festive and basic and if I’m being honest I’m always on the lookout for another sweater like that.

The red trend has been around for more than a year now, however it has mostly been popping in on the runways, high end stores and amongst fashionistas. It looks like it isn’t going anywhere in 2024 and it is only going to get stronger. If you need proof - you will notice that a lot of items in a variety of shades of red were sold out even before Black Friday and the closer we are to the Holidays the smaller are the chances to find something in this trendy color that will tick all the boxes. Looks like designers are trying to catch up as fast as they can so we’re starting to see a lot of new arrivals in red.

Snow day outfit: MaxMara Teddy Coat, UGGs & a fair isle sweater

I spent all day running around Seattle: doing my Christmas shopping, making returns, then working at the studio and even did a quick lap around the building to walk my dogs: all in these shoes. Would the sneakers be a more of a practical choice? Absolutely. But I just felt like I needed a pop of burgundy red in my life. I don’t know if the trend got to me or maybe in Winter we all need a bit of color.

It’s so nice to get some snow on December 1st, I think it makes the Winter official. I must confess I like Winter - for so many reasons! The dogs absolutely love it, the town looks all dressed up and - well, I think it’s a reason to dress up too.

I’m going to disappoint you. Nobody has ever said that THIS would be the one and only coat then stopped shopping and looking around for other models.

A coat is basically your Winter dress, you wear it every day: how are you supposed to pick just one? Unless you found the one of course!

Today I feel like I did. In this coat I feel like I’m being hugged by the softest cloud in beautiful beige, I can tie the belt, add a few layers and survive the Winter or I could wear it as a cape and wear it through mid-Spring.

I still can’t believe nobody’s screaming about these sneakers on every corner. Let me briefly explain to you why I personally started looking at this particular pair of shoes.

Classic trench coat has always been my favorite piece in my closet: there’s only so much precious time to wear it: you have your early Fall, a couple of weeks of sweater weather and then in just about a month or so it’s suddenly time to switch to wool coats and down jackets. All the sweeter the moment because it’s so short. I love my trench coat long though.

The easiest way to make a power statement with your outfit on a day-to-day basis is with a beautifully cut blazer. All those pieces that the Mafia bosses used to wear in the 20s? Double breasted, oversized tailoring, big shoulder pads or none at all. Androgyne and ultra masculine looks with oversized shoulders have basically invaded the runways and the street fashion follows. If you love them you should try them on.
